At Resolver, we are augmenting Business Intelligence with artificial intelligence to create a powerful analytics and insight proposition help both consumers and businesses get better outcomes in the complaints management space. As part of our growth, we’re recruiting for talented people to join our data team. We are looking for engineers with a high level of experience in a data development environment who can also demonstrate they can pick up new concepts quickly. The data team is a vibrant and ambitious team at Resolver and is responsible for driving our product forward

We're looking for people to lead design, build, maintain and operate the data pipeline and data estate that underpin our analytics and insight offerings. Work with the team to devise, implement and test new tactics and strategies to build prototypes and POCs, and think of new ways to visualise our data as well as come up with ideas for new sources of insight, product ideas and help integrate new datasets.


Key Accountabilities for this role:

  • To operationalise and support a stable data pipeline and its orchestration from source to target
  • To drive the effective integration of multiple data sources into the data pipeline to database, analytics, and machine-learning data repositories
  • To establish and maintain a contemporary data estate applying an appropriate fusion of traditional BI and leading-edge data approaches
  • To ensure the integrity, timeliness, and accuracy of all data products
  • To serve as a role model in agile data delivery including agile ceremonies and practice
  • To act as a data expert and be an advocate for good data practices including data architecture, data quality, and data security/protection
  • To lead and inspire a culture of continuous improvement
  • To recognise and champion new data opportunities
  • To assist with delivery of custom data visualisation

About you

  • Ability to write excellent SQL
  • Experience in delivering data pipelines in a range of technologies with application of appropriate techniques, including batch, micro-batch, near real time, incremental and the tracking of data change over time
  • Experience in automation of data acquisition, crawling, mining, cleaning, transforming and loading
  • Effectively communicate between other engineering and product management teams
  • Experience in a range of data modelling approaches to deliver high availability, high performance, easily understood data estates
  • Experience in delivering incremental data pipelines and the tracking of data change over time
  • Experience in data analysis, data modelling and database design
  • Willingness to champion DevOps practices, including continuous deployment and build pipelines
  • Willingness to learn and self-improve and be part of a team
  • Experience building big data pipelines with e.g. airflow would be beneficial
  • API querying programmatically
  • Docker container management
  • Experience with AWS or other Cloud Vendors and Terraform deployment
  • Experience with data visualisation products such as Looker, Tableau and custom visualisations e.g.D3
  • Understanding of NLP, Machine learning and AI capabilities
