Job Specification: Content Manager 

Resolver, London Bridge

The role

To own and lead Resolver’s Content strategy and delivery, while ensuring our product delivers the highest standards in consumer rights guidance, customer experience and user engagement. This role reports to the Head of Engagement and the Head of Media.

  • Principal accountabilities

  • –  Leading the content strategy for Resolver across all channels to support acquisition and retention aims. 
  • –  Able to manage multiple content channels including website content, reports and publications and social media
  • –  Delivering and distributing content to a high editorial standard to engage our users and subscribers 
  • –  Setting the Resolver tone of voice and ensuring consistency across the group 
  • –  Develop data, analysis and policy positions to lead editorial campaigns for Resolver, using owned, earned and gained channels
  • –  To develop and lead the email engagement programme to drive the growth of the subscriber base and revenue
  • –  To support the Head of PR with the generation of media coverage, carrying out research and answering day-to-day enquiries as directed 
  • Key performance indicators

  • –  Content consistency and quality
  • –  Development of news, advice, rights and campaigns content 
  • –  Handling day-to-day media enquiries & supporting Head of PR
  • –  Co-owning conversion rate, visits, page views, email open rates, subscriber numbers 

About you

  • Skills and Attributes

  • –  A natural flair for writing consumer content and extensive editorial skills, comfortable working across a range of styles and mediums 
  • –  Be autonomous and efficient, using to working in a fast pace ‘newsroom’ style environment
  • –  The ability to research, summarise and translate complex legislation, consultations and regulations in the plain English guides accessible to all audiences
  • –  Strong data focus, with demonstrable ability to analyse, interpret and present a range of data sets for diverse audiences including the media, Government, key influencers and the board and the Resolver SLT
  • –  A passion for delivering exceptional customer experience, and a champion of consumer rights  
  • –  A natural collaborator, who is comfortable engaging diverse stakeholders and leading them towards an aligned outcome 
  • –  Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance the needs of the customer and also the business 
  • –  Desire to innovate, change and improve processes ​

  • Experience

  • –  Strong experience (5+ years) in journalism, editorial or content management
  • –  Experience of using a range of content management systems and comfortable with HTML
  • –  A background in consumer issues is required, experience of consumer rights advice is desirable
  • –  Experience of using email marketing and data analysis or reporting tools is essential
